The best way to book a session is to click the “Book a Session” button below, select the type of session you want along with the date and time available, review the contract and answer a questionnaire that helps me understand what you’re looking for.

You can also reach out by filling out a contact form via this website, email or direct message on Instagram to ask about a session.

A session is considered officially booked once a contract is signed and we have agreed on a date, time, and location for the session.

Currently I accept cash, check, Venmo, PayPal for sessions.

For gift cards, I can accept payment via credit card, PayPal and Venmo.

Once you fill out my contact form, I will be in touch by email to get more information about the session.

That includes deciding on a date, time and location and any other details that may not have been outlined on the contact form.

I will share a contract for you to review and sign, as well as a questionnaire to get a better idea of what you’re hoping to get out of the session.

I may also ask to do a phone call to get a better sense of what you’re looking for if necessary.

The session is booked once a contract is signed. Payment is due at the end of a session.

I will also share a session guide to help you prepare for our time together, which includes tips for deciding what to wear, wrangling the kids and managing other last-minute details.

The day before the session, I will check in to confirm all of the details and make sure we’re good to go!

The day of the session arrives. We have a great time creating photos and call it a day!

You can expect to receive your gallery of proofs within 5-10 business days.

From there, you will get the chance to select the images you want. Once you’ve selected the images for your package, I will do final edits and deliver them to you within 7 business days.

My mission is to create images that reflect your life at this moment. With that in mind, I suggest picking a location that is special to you and those who are participating.

Where do you enjoy spending time with your loved ones? It could be a park, a trail, a neighborhood, or even your couch! What matters is that it means something to you!

If you don’t have a location in mind, I am happy to put together a list of options for you to consider based on your answers to your questionnaire. We can work together to come up with the perfect spot.

There are a lot of factors to consider when picking outfits for a portrait session that can make you feel overwhelmed.

Above all else, you should wear something that makes you feel great and comfortable enough to move around.

Once you book, I'll share a guide that helps you figure out what will work for you and help you prepare for our time together.

I like to let the baby determine how we should proceed with a session since we all know that babies, especially newborns, are on their own schedule! With that in mind, I don’t want to rush a session in a way that disrupts a baby’s natural rhythm. Slowing down makes for a calmer, smoother experience for everyone and gives me the chance to capture tender, special moments.

Honestly, weddings really stress me out! I worry so much about potentially missing a special moment during such a large event with several moving parts!

I have shot smaller, more intimate ceremonies (one fun one was for a couple married on 12-12-12!).

I would love to be considered for small ceremonies, elopements, courthouse ceremonies and commitment ceremonies if that's what you have in mind.

My background is in photojournalism, which means I take a documentary approach to tell stories through photography.

During a session, you are almost always guaranteed to hear me say, “Pretend I’m not here!” and I absolutely mean it.

I don’t typically use props or backgrounds. Natural light will always be my preferred choice of lighting.

This doesn’t mean I won’t tell you what to do with your hands, let you know if you have something in your teeth or give you direction for a portrait. It means my job is to guide you so you are comfortable enough for me to capture you in your element.

This approach also translates into how I edit photos after a session, which mostly consists of adjustments for color correction, lighting and tone.

At the end of the day, I will have done my job if I can give you beautiful photos that reflect your life.

A good question to always ask when working with a photographer is:

How will photos of my child be used after the fact?

I want families to have control over their children's digital footprint.

Though I do own copyrights to my images, I have a policy to always ask families for permission to use a child's photograph before publishing online for promotional purposes.

Yes, it sometimes means less fun photos to share, but internet safety and privacy is a priority for me as a mother and as a photographer.
